Climate Roots Rangpur: Building Grassroots Climate Awareness

The Climate Roots Rangpur project, implemented by OAB Foundation, is a community-driven initiative focused on strengthening climate awareness and environmental responsibility among students, youth, and local communities in Rangpur. Through a structured series of school sessions, interactive workshops, and community engagement activities, the project introduces participants to the causes, impacts, and local realities of climate change. Special emphasis is placed on regional challenges such as changing weather patterns, agricultural vulnerability, and environmental degradation. The initiative promotes sustainable practices including tree plantation, waste management, and water conservation, while encouraging participants to adopt eco-friendly behaviors in their daily lives. It also empowers youth to take on leadership roles as climate advocates, spreading awareness and inspiring collective action within their communities. By fostering knowledge, responsibility, and community participation, the project aims to build a more climate-resilient and environmentally conscious Rangpur.
