On 22 May 2026, OAB Foundation successfully implemented Art Camp 2026 at Babukhan Government Primary School, Rangpur, as part of the national flagship initiative promoting environmental education through creative learning.
The program was designed to increase environmental awareness among school children by introducing them to the importance of biodiversity, climate change, and nature conservation through interactive art activities. By combining education with creativity, the initiative encouraged students to express their ideas and environmental concerns through artwork while developing a stronger sense of responsibility toward protecting the environment.
The day's activities began with an orientation session highlighting the ecological importance of the Sundarbans and its role in maintaining Bangladesh's environmental balance. Students then participated in a themed art competition titled "Save the Sundarbans," where they translated their understanding of environmental conservation into creative drawings and paintings.
Following the art session, participants' artworks were evaluated based on creativity, message, and presentation. Refreshments were provided to all participating students, creating a welcoming and enjoyable learning environment throughout the event.
The award and certificate distribution ceremony was graced by Md. Atiqul Islam Atik, Head Teacher of Sonar Tori Vidyaniketon, Babukhan Metropolitan, Rangpur, and Secretary of the Bangladesh Kindergarten Association, Rangpur Metropolitan, who attended the program as the Chief Guest. He distributed certificates to all participants and presented awards to the students who secured first, second, and third positions. In his remarks, he appreciated the initiative and encouraged young learners to continue contributing to environmental protection through creativity and awareness.
