On 11 July 2026, OAB Foundation organized a day-long training titled "Renewable Energy & Climate Leadership: Training on Just Transition and Policy Advocacy" in Birampur, Dinajpur, with the objective of empowering young people to become informed and effective climate leaders.
As climate change continues to pose significant environmental, social, and economic challenges, the training focused on building participants’ understanding of weather and climate, climate change, climate justice, renewable energy, just transition, and policy advocacy. Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, teamwork, practical exercises, and participant presentations, attendees gained both theoretical knowledge and practical insights into climate action and sustainable energy solutions.
The training emphasized the importance of developing a new generation of skilled, responsible, and policy-aware youth leaders capable of contributing to local and national climate initiatives. Participants explored the role of renewable energy in addressing climate challenges, promoting energy sustainability, and supporting equitable development while learning how policy advocacy can strengthen community engagement and influence decision-making processes.
Throughout the programme, participants actively engaged in collaborative learning activities that enhanced their leadership, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. The sessions encouraged knowledge sharing and inspired participants to initiate climate awareness campaigns, promote clean energy solutions, and advocate for environmentally sustainable practices within their own communities.
