Global Handwashing Day Celebration

OAB Foundation’s Chattogram Team celebrated Global Handwashing Day with the children of Al-Amin Child Academy through an engaging educational programme focused on climate awareness, proper handwashing, health and hygiene, and dengue prevention. Amrin Bushra, Chattogram Divisional Lead, facilitated a session on the climate crisis, introducing children to environmental awareness through interactive discussions and storytelling. Jannatun Nahar and Dhruba Chowdhury led a practical handwashing demonstration, highlighting the importance of proper handwashing in preventing the spread of germs and diseases. Abida Sultana conducted a session on essential health and hygiene practices, encouraging children to develop healthy daily habits. Khadiza Mozib discussed dengue prevention and safety measures, helping children understand how to reduce exposure to mosquitoes and maintain a safer, healthier environment. Through these interactive sessions, the programme created an opportunity for children to learn essential life skills in an accessible and engaging way. By combining health education with environmental awareness, OAB Foundation aims to encourage children to practise healthy habits, understand their role in protecting the environment, and share their learning with their families and communities. OAB Foundation believes that access to knowledge and awareness from an early age can help children grow into informed, responsible, and confident individuals who contribute positively to society.
