Youth Climate Leadership & Community Action Training (Climate Innovation Cube)

On 9–10 March 2026, OAB Youth Foundation successfully organized the Youth Climate Leadership & Community Action Training as part of the Climate Innovation Cube – A Youth-Led Climate Learning Experience Zone initiative. The training program was designed to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to take action on climate change at the community level. Participants engaged in interactive learning sessions focused on climate change science, leadership development, and practical approaches to community-based environmental solutions. Youth volunteers participated in a variety of experiential activities, including interactive discussions, visual storytelling exercises, group poster presentations, and hands-on micro-gardening activities. These sessions helped participants better understand climate challenges while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The training was facilitated by experienced experts from RIB (Research Initiatives Bangladesh), VSO Bangladesh, and the National Youth Forum, ensuring a rich blend of technical knowledge and practical field experience. Their guidance helped participants connect global climate issues with local realities and explore actionable solutions for their communities. Through this program, youth volunteers gained valuable leadership skills and a deeper understanding of climate resilience, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. The training also strengthened youth networks committed to promoting sustainable development and climate action across Bangladesh. This initiative under the Climate Innovation Cube represents a significant step toward building a generation of informed, skilled, and action-oriented young climate leaders.
