OAB Foundation Wins Youth Climate Small Grant Award 2025 (VSO & UK International Development)

On 5 December 2025, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, OAB Foundation achieved a significant international recognition on the occasion of International Volunteer Day. The organization was awarded the Youth Climate Small Grant Award 2025, presented by VSO and UK International Development, as the winner from the Dhaka Division. The awarded project, “HoloGarden Dhaka,” is Bangladesh’s first hologram-based climate education installation. It is designed to introduce an innovative and interactive approach to climate learning using advanced hologram technology. Through this initiative, students and young people will gain an engaging, modern, and experiential understanding of climate change, its impacts, and possible solutions. Since its establishment in 2018, OAB Foundation has been actively working across Bangladesh in areas including climate change, environmental protection, women and child rights, education, health, and social development. The organization is committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and empowering youth leadership for a just, green, and sustainable Bangladesh. The Founder and President of OAB Foundation, Asaduzzaman Tuhin, stated that this achievement marks a historic milestone for the organization. He highlighted that it is the first time OAB Foundation participated in an international project pitch and successfully won at the Dhaka Division level. He also expressed optimism that future projects will further strengthen climate education and contribute to a greener future. The Project Coordinator (Idea and Innovation), Farzana Akhter, emphasized that “HoloGarden Dhaka” is a timely initiative in response to the climate crisis and will add a new dimension to climate education in Bangladesh. OAB Foundation expressed gratitude to all volunteers, partners, advisors, and supporters whose collective efforts made this achievement possible. The organization reaffirmed its future commitment to climate education, green innovation, leadership development, and community empowerment.
