“Conscious Children, Safe Future”

OAB Foundation, a youth-led social organization, successfully organized an educational awareness programme titled “Conscious Children, Safe Future” at Ketra Government Primary School in Birampur Upazila, Dinajpur. The programme aimed to raise awareness among children about personal safety, hygiene, and good touch–bad touch. A total of 60 students from Grades 1 to 5 participated in the session, including 35 girls and 25 boys. The topics were presented in a child-friendly and engaging way through storytelling, graffiti, visual presentations, and practical activities. These methods helped students understand important safety and hygiene lessons in a simple and effective manner. At the end of the session, a question-and-answer segment was arranged to assess the students’ learning. Students who answered correctly were rewarded to encourage their active participation and interest. Mr. Md. Mominul Haque, Head Teacher of Ketra Government Primary School, attended the prize-giving ceremony as the Chief Guest. Rakib Hossain, Lead of the HR and Finance Department at OAB Foundation, attended as the Special Guest. The training session was facilitated by OAB Foundation volunteers—Rakib, Mohona, Azmain, Tonu, Taptunna, Yarima, and Bindu. A total of 16 volunteers took part in the programme. The one-and-a-half-hour session received enthusiastic participation from the students. OAB Foundation stated that it will continue to organize similar awareness programmes in educational institutions across the country to help ensure a safe, healthy, and dignified environment for children.
